About me: Originally from London-Walthamstow, it was great being young and living in such a culturally diverse city enjoying all the enrichment and experiences London has to offer.
My degree is in Wood, metals and plastics, this gave me practical knowledge in building and creating to achieve a desired style. As an interior designer this has been invaluable and also served well when I was creating shop window displays.
Dressing shop windows is all about setting a scene to entice & inspire customers to create their own version of the space (and naturally for my clients to showcase their product). This was a brilliant training ground for creating a look, feel and experience for your wedding day!
I had already expanded my skill set to deliver the logistical and personal approach to events management. I found a job working to coordinate teams nationwide in delivery of events, then for a while at The Eden Project in Cornwall I coordinated and delivered large and complex events.
My needs changed after having children and I found myself wanting some space and a lifestyle that met the needs of the whole family and afforded me the opportunity to utilize my skills and natural creativity. So, literally, with a pin in the map we settled on Stroud, in the wonderful Cotswolds and it was the best decision ever, we haven’t looked back.
When I moved to Stroud I worked part time at a wedding venue, Hilles House, where I have been the wedding venue coordinator and events manager for the last 7 years, over the last couple of years I have been working for other couples in a range of venues, each one unique with individual requirements.
I have a wealth of experience in styling, weddings and running events, my background in running events will take the pressure of you as I have the ability to handle the logistics for such a special occasion therefore giving you the time and space to enjoy your big day with your family and friends.
Always wishing to expand my relevant skillset to support a total client experience I have recently completed a floristry course. I love growing and arranging flowers, creating displays felt like a natural extension of my skill set and seeing the impact you can make through careful placement and design with flowers has been brilliant.
